Important information about the chant
This is a devotional song and is sung by the devotees of Krishna. Devotees of the Radha Krishna Temple in London recorded the chant for their album, which was produced by George Harrison and released on the Beatle’s Apple record in 1971. The single was named ‘Govinda’. Kula Shaker, an English rock band, adapted this chant into their song called ‘Govinda’. This is the only British top-ten song that was entirely sung in Sanskrit.
